Fall is always full of so many great events around town, and one of my favorites is finally here... the Theta Charity Antiques Show. This show means a lot to me personally since I am a Theta and have always loved the charities that our fraternity sponsors and this is our local alumni chapter's huge fundraiser for the year raising around $200,000 annually. As a designer, I love having a world class antiques show in my hometown every fall! Every year one of my clients ends up with a great addition to their home from the show.
The show kicks off this Thursday evening from 7-10pm with the Preview Party which is always a well attended, very fun and festive affair.
Here are a few of my favorite finds from last year's show...
The show continues Friday through Sunday, November 11th - 13th and includes some great lectures and a fun feature that was started last year dubbed the Designer Walks. I got to be the guinea pig last year and do the first ever walk, and just had a blast doing it! You can sign up to walk the show with a designer and experience the show from their perspective and expertise. Sometimes I find my clients and friends feel lost at a large show and don't often see some of the hidden gems and miss opportunities to learn and this feature is a fun way to see the show. So grab a friend and sign up, there are still some spots left! They even added Art Walks this year for those interested in the great art the show has to offer.
Hope to see some of you Thursday night!
